Valérie Boxer was born in St-Sauveur Québec and received a BFA in Intermedia and Cyber Arts from Concordia University in 2008. She currently lives and work in Montréal.
Her work is overtly embellished and humorous, often addressing how we perceive utopia and spirituality through popular culture. Her practices involves textile, video and illustrations that are created from meticulous processes. For her, engaging in repetitive gestures and time consuming practices such as embroidery and video editing are forms of meditations that allow her to identify with th
